Membership Program

The Pittston Township Ambulance Association seeks the public support via a Membership Donation Subscription program.  This program, open to residents of Pittston Township and surrounding communities, provides the residents a means to show their support of the local EMS operation via an annual suggested donation and receive a financial benefit for doing so. The donation stays right here in our community and is tax deductible in accordance with IRS rules and regulations.

For memberships received on/after APRIL 1, 2025 – the membership donation is $55.00.

The general outline of this program is as follows:

Membership subscriptions are opened annually and mailed to Pittston Township residents of record and to those in neighboring communities who have requested memberships in the past. Memberships run for the 2025 calendar year and become active the date of the U.S Postal mark or the date of your online subscription.

Upon providing the suggested monetary donation, the Membership covers all residents of the household, as well as visitors who receive service from Pittston Township Ambulance Association.

Upon receiving EMS from the Pittston Township Ambulance, the patients permits the EMS provided to bill their insurance carrier for services provided and receive payment for services provided.  Once your insurance carrier pays your claim, we will accept the payment from the insurance carrier as payment in full. The Membership applies to all services not paid by your insurance, including co-pays and/or deductibles

The Pittston Township Ambulance only provides and responds to calls received via Luzerne County 911 dispatch. Due to the number of actual Emergency calls received, non emergent responses, such as routine transports from hospitals to home or for doctor office visits, will not be made or scheduled.

Public training programs (such as CPR training) when offered, can be attended with payment for cost of program only.

Additional benefits maybe offered as determined by the Ambulance Association Board of Directors.

IMPORTANT – Membership must be paid in full to receive full balance due forgiveness benefit.  Payment amounts received below the membership fee listed will be considered a donation and no membership benefits are included. Your donation is much appreciated, and we thank you for your support and generosity.

NON MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION RESIDENTIAL RESPONSES – Persons/residential locations having a need for EMS and utilizing the Pittston Township Ambulance will be responsible for any and all costs not reimbursed by medical insurances. Upon receiving EMS from the Pittston Township Ambulance, the patient permits and authorizes the EMS provider, or its Mutual Aid providers, along with Advanced Life Support Services when utilized, to bill their insurance carrier for services provided and receive payment for services provided. The patients will then receive a follow up billing for payment of any non-covered expenses incurred.

Philanthropy and Business Donations Program

The Pittston Township Ambulance Association does graciously accept contributions from businesses and individuals that desire to support charitable causes and non-profit organizations.  These donations can be a one time contribution such as a memorial for a deceased individual from family/friends, a matching donation from an employee/employer, an annual contribution or an ongoing and reoccurring donation over many months as long as desired.  In addition, we will earmark a donation for a specific purpose such as an equipment purchase.
