The Pittston Township Ambulance Association dedicates this web site to all Men and Women who serve in Emergency Services. Not for who we are – But for what we maybe called upon to do. And especially to those who gave of their lives in the line of duty, assisting persons who they never before met.

May these Emergency Service providers never be forgotten.

LORD,

Grant me the wisdom so that I may treat those of your children that lay at my feet. And let my hands be gentle, sure and swift, to impart to them your sacred gift.

Let me see only a patient’s need – not their color, race or creed. Help me always to be my best – even when it’s on my hours rest.

Grant me the insight to understand why patients of mine are going to die, Let me remember that when they do, there is a wonderful life in Heaven with You.

Lord, if in the time of duty I should fall, help my family to hold their heads tall. For it was You who decided that I should be, one of your chosen few, an EMT. And I ask for all here from the past:

In Memory of Andrew and Dora Weiskerger

Residents of Pittston Township, a husband and wife team, both persons were charter members of the Pittston Township Ambulance Association Board of Directors from its inception in 1977. Andy served in various Executive capacities and as a volunteer driver. Dora also served in various Executive capacities and was most noted for being the public lifeline, answering the emergency phone that was in her home, then dispatching the call before the era of 911 and watching the volunteers’ children when they went out on calls.

Both remained active up to their passing.

In Memory of Helen Tierney

A resident of Pittston Township and charter member of the Pittston Township Ambulance Association Board of Directors from its inception in 1977. Helen served in various Executive capacities and began our billing for services program, doing the invoicing of services to patients and insurance carriers.

Helen remained active up to her passing.

In Memory of Lorraine Valenti

A resident of Pittston Township, Lorraine served as a Member of the Pittston Township Ambulance Board of Directors. She also was a dispatcher, answering our emergency phone which was in her home prior to the era of 911.

In Memory of Debbie Nesgoda

A resident of Pittston Township, Debbie served as a Member of the Pittston Township Ambulance Board of Directors from 2006 until her passing in 2008.

In Memory of Michael Chairge

A resident of Pittston Township, Mike was a Member of the Board of Directors of the Pittston Township Ambulance Association and served as its first President. His vision for the service was many, with the most notable, first proposing that the Association have its own building and offices back in 1977. The first station was not constructed until 1995.

In Memory Virginia Ardo

A resident of Pittston Township, Virginia was a member of the Pittston Township Ambulance Board of Directors. Virginia also served/employed as a Municipal Emergency Services Dispatcher for the community.

In Memory John Minich

A resident of Pittston Township, John served as a volunteer driver for the ambulance service.

In Memory Cary Kasa

A resident of Pittston Township and a former Emergency Medical Technician, Cary served on the ambulance Board of Directors from 2005 until his untimely passing on December 26, 2011.

In Memory of Joseph E Stanton Sr.

A resident of Pittston Township, “Earl” served on the Ambulance Board of Directors for many years and served as President of the Ambulance Association.

Mr. Stanton passed away October 14, 2013
